Burn Body Fat Blog

Author and editorial team

Every article on BurnBodyFat.blog is written and maintained by the FatMetrix Guide Editorial Team, the editorial desk of FatMetrix Guide. This page explains who is accountable for what you read here, how the team works, and what this site does not claim to be.

Who publishes this site

BurnBodyFat.blog is an independent publisher owned and operated by FatMetrix Guide. The site is funded by display advertising served through Google AdSense. We do not sell supplements, coaching programmes or sponsored articles, and no advertiser reviews or approves content before it is published.

Who writes the articles

Articles are produced by the FatMetrix Guide editorial desk, a small team that handles research, drafting, fact-checking and corrections. Drafts are prepared with AI assistance and then checked line by line by an editor against the sources cited in the article. The editorial desk — not the software — is accountable for what is published, which is why the byline on every article names the team rather than a tool.

We do not claim that a physician, registered dietitian or certified trainer is on staff, because that would not be accurate. Nothing on this site is individual medical advice; the boundary between general education and personal care is described in our disclaimer.

What the team does on every article

  1. Topic selection. Topics come from questions readers send, from search demand, and from gaps in existing coverage of fat loss, nutrition and beginner training.
  2. Source gathering. Physiology, energy balance, protein requirements and exercise claims are built from primary and high-quality secondary sources: WHO and national dietary guidelines, the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, systematic reviews and meta-analyses indexed on PubMed, and position stands from bodies such as the American College of Sports Medicine.
  3. Drafting. Explanations are written in plain language for busy adults, with the numbers shown rather than implied.
  4. Verification. Each quantitative claim is traced back to its source and recalculated; links are checked; claims the evidence does not support are removed or explicitly marked as uncertain.
  5. Caution review. Sections that touch medication, medical conditions, pregnancy or eating disorders are written to redirect readers to a clinician rather than to advise them.
  6. Scheduled re-check. Articles are revisited when guidelines change, and the date of the last review is shown on the article.

What we cover

  • Nutrition and energy balance — calorie deficits, protein and fiber, meal structure, portion control, eating out.
  • Training that fits a real schedule — short home sessions, strength basics, walking, cardio, recovery.
  • Behaviour and maintenance — habits, plateaus, diet breaks, emotional eating, keeping results.
  • Myth checking — what the research supports, and where it is genuinely unsettled.

What we do not do

  • We do not diagnose conditions, interpret blood tests, review medication or design individual programmes.
  • We do not accept paid placements, "review" products in exchange for payment, or publish supplement marketing as editorial content.
  • We do not invent credentials, reviewers or studies to look more authoritative than we are.

Editorial standards and corrections

The full standards — source hierarchy, how numbers are checked, the review cycle, corrections and retractions, and how advertising is kept separate from editorial decisions — are published in our editorial policy.

If something on a page is wrong, outdated or unclear, email [email protected] with the page URL and, for factual errors, the source you believe is correct. Corrections are applied to the article itself and the review date is updated; we do not quietly edit a page and leave an old date in place.

Contact

Corrections, content requests, permissions and press enquiries go through the contact page. We read every message and aim to reply within two business days.
